442 to Belgrade

We didn’t listen to this song while we drove to Belgrade for a Hack Creative Week. Even if it was on the radio, we could not hear it, because we were too enthusiastic about participating in the first activity of diStory, Digital stories of small historic towns.

442 to Belgrade

Ja imam krvotok ko od benzina,
pred mojim očima ravan put.
Ovo je žestoka mašina
nebo mastilo, mesec žut.
(442 do Beograda, Bajaga i instruktori)

I have the bloodstream of gasoline
In front of my eyes is straight path
This is a fierce machine
Sky is as ink and moon is yellow
(442 to Belgrade, Bajaga I instruktori)

We didn’t listen to this song while we drove to Belgrade for a Hack Creative Week. Even if it was on the radio, we could not hear it, because we were too enthusiastic about participating in the first activity of diStory, Digital stories of small historic towns.

And the feeling that we brought with us from Slovenia was the right one. diStory local team from Belgrade and their city welcomed us with arms wide open. They confirmed their reputation as excellent hosts and experts in what they do. Through the perfectly organized workshop we got the opportunity to learn more about specific topics, that are important for our project in theory and in practice. We were astonished when we listened to Goran Tomka, Andrija Stojanović, Milena Jokanović and Višnja Kisić and others. We wanted more and they gave it to us.

Interactive exhibition Pupin: From Physical to Spiritual Realities in the Historical Museum of Serbia was a blast. There was Augmented Reality, motion-tracking book, 3D mapping projection, voice recognition, interactive swing, LiveviewStudio and an excellent museum guide Aleksandra Ninković Tašić. A creative boost for further work in project.

We left Belgrade exhausted. Whith lots of new ideas. Just as we planned. And we discovered about 442 in Bajaga’s song: it is not about the distance, it is about the rhyme. Useful for diStory.
